2. my classmate 1 (pending 2Upper NUS): ~3.9 MOE
3. my classmate 2 (pending 2Upper NUS): ~3.9 The aviation authority.
4. my classmate 3 (pending FCH NUS): ~4.7 Specialised scheme
5. no offer yet. emoz.
don't know if they include all the AWS or what. Believe at your own risk.
and our uni very hot last couple of days. hope that doesnt affect our pay ahhah!

Really appreciate the offers your classmates received. Seems like NUS get solid offers, somewhat better than NTU. I don't think fresh grads mindset so complicated as to add in the bonus.
I don't understand 'uni very hot' and how it correlated to pay... You mean to say the peeping Tom case gonna affect companies hiring? Doubt so... Local media always sensationalise matters. Nowadays besides elections, nothing to report liao.. Every school has problems no matter how high up.
I know this is not an important place to waste brain juice n type properly but Erm... Its quite difficult to understand.
In the DXO thread someone posted that a pass degree with about 5 years exp gets paid similar to NUS fch... Better lock up the children and drill them... 4k is super comfortable just knowing theory... And usually the final salary is slightly higher.
Envy...

The date put for fun one... My experience.... If they want you, they call within the week of you applying.
Only 1 in 10 I applied to really waited until closed. And I was a misfit. They just needed to show that they tried their best and saw even the misfits..

Sorry to OT a thread on timeline.
Yeah, all the numbers are very high, but not really shocking. My friend whom I know is very honest type... MOE trained teacher 4.8k BT. Also fch, NS 5 years ago. Physics.
Many youngsters today are taught to quote MOM. (which is not how the industry works)
stats. mom.gov.sg/SL/Pages/Gross-Monthly-Income-from-Work-Concepts-and-Definitions.aspx
In simple English it is to take annual salary divide 12... I know that US MNC follow this.. Coz they dont get the bonus system.. All just give a fat basic. So if a person says 4.5k gross, it could mean 3.4k based on 16 month conservative calculation. Because all taught by the same lecturer who quoted MOM.
It is possible... Let's not scare the honest people who genuinely contribute what they heard... Its a good guide for the community.
But take with a pinch of salt... The people who post, often are those who got a good deal. just like those university salary reports, employment reports.. 90% employment... 84% above 4.5k...Who do u think reply to their email survey and end up in the statistic? The 2.5k or the 4.5k? They don't even ask for evidence.. The whole bunch of us ever indicate 6k for fun also gets in...
CAAS can pay well... My friend jumped in.. But served a while then run off.

Maybe they bluff me. Haha. But i don’t see why they would bluff me. So take it with a grain of salt. Haha.
Econ scheme. Was told it is different from the normal civil service scheme so they have a specialised scale and grade.
I heard engineers also paid high 4s for fresh degree holders.

Most of the jobs should call within 2 weeks of the expiry. It depends whether the HR team checks the portal or not. I got a new which says ‘submitted’ or ‘processing’ lol

Yes, 5 companies called, 1 company misfit, 4 companies all reached 2nd round... 2 companies offered, I just grabbed the highest offer since I told myself all are my field... So which earliest or highest just accept.
A customised cover is crucial. I spend 2 hours on each cover answering the job requirement. Once you beaten the software.. Then got to impress the human... My trick is, after a succinct self intro. I find a way to make them tell me about what they need... Then I quickly sell my capabilities to match and my 5 year loyalty plan... Often the description is copy and paste by HR who knows nuts about the job... The actual needs... U must extract from your boss.
Easy to type in a para... Many hours of practise.. For my field, its 100 candidates to 1 job. I asked every HR.

Now they are panicking... Coz the people who throw letter on 1 April.. If they take a fresh grad immediate starter only has 1 week to pick up the slack... If the fresh grad pending public service clearance... Means starting close to June.. 1 month the job nobody do...dept head will pressure HR.
They are also worried the qualified fch reject their offer run elsewhere offering them $200 more..
