Eg if the head of team is a DD grade, a head of a department is an Executive Director, a head of a cluster of dept is a group head ie a Assistant MD, you need to know where you stand relatively. Ask HR what your next job title is if you get promoted.

By the way, I am MX11 and my salary ceiling is up to 9K + max. I have 2 years supervisory experience. From the looks of it, you have no supervisory experience. I am not being spiteful here. Just giving you a reality check of what you are going to face when you join public service. There will be many other cattle class farmers with you. Don't think that just because you reach the ceiling, you can move to MX10. There is too much competition. You can end up stuck MX11A for 5 years or more. My 2 cents worth. Don't be angry with my honest opinion. I'm just trying to tell you to manage your expectations. And to avoid a situation where you think you're cheated to join this Stat Board under MOF, it's best that you check with HR.
Thank you for the advice. Much appreciated.

I do have some supervisory experience but it is unknown if HR recognise it. 5 years would be far too long for a promotion and it doesn't sound fair. I will certainly check with HR.

Default Accountant in stat board

Hi!

Is there anyone who is able to share which scheme an accountant is under? from what i understand from other forums and threads, they do not fall under MX scheme?

& will there be instances where they shortlist applicants who ask for too high a salary? even for mid hires, they will also calculate salary based on educational qualifications?

Many thanks in advance!

What about MX13 and MX13a? MX11 and MX11a? MX10 and MX10a? What's the difference?

There's only MX11 & MX11A. The rest are MX13,12,10,9... etc... MX11A was recently created probably to promote those who deserve it but couldn't make it to MX10 due to quota... Just like MINDEF came up with Major (1), Major (2) etc...

The reason why we are talking about supervisory experience is because MX10 is a DD grade. If you are totally inexperienced, the chances of you moving up to MX10 will take even longer. Lastly, how good a performer are you? F you are just average, you can wait and wait for your next promotion. You must understand that MX9 is a superscale position and MX10 is one grade below that. Many people don't ever reach MX9. MX10 is not for everyone either.
MX11 is ceiling 9k? I saw the thread, this is very low. In many companies, MNCs, a junior manager is in that range. I am 9k but low entry level manager in an MNC. 10yr exp. but only 4yrs mgr experience

Thumbs down

Good on you. Remain in private sector then. Why bother to come to a forum that's not meant for you? You even bother to read back a few pages! Must be a troll.

MX11 ceiling is about 7k, and MX11A 8k plus, based on a recent posting.
