Furthermore, if I use the mx scheme salary scale range, $9000 is either Above or equate to the highest band of MX11.

dont say 5%, even 10% increment each year and 2 x 20% promotion increment also cant hit 9k within 10 years.
confirm BS

I have a colleague who joined in 2008 with 2nd upper and hit her MX11a ceiling ($8555) in 2017. I am reasonably sure she didn't bluff me.
Therefore it is possible that someone is able to hit 9K in 9 years. I'm guessing that the VMI for top performers is way higher than for above average performers.

Did U compare same base? 9K in 9 years possible but she might join in 2008 with maybe 3-4K starting? This poster is saying he have 2.5K starting and reach 9K in 9 years which is not likely.

2.5K to 9K in 9 years for CS is highly unlikely. To reach 11a ceiling suggest she has been in 11a for a few years, meaning she has to get from 13 to 11a within a very short period.

i observe the band for mx13 band is pretty wide.. does the starting pay within this band reflect your CEP?

CEP is dependent on your qualifications and previous experiences if not fresh grad. 4.4K for MX13 is not exactly normal, either you have outstanding grades or you job has some special scheme.

if it is special scheme, it wont be called MX13
outstanding grade wont get u exceptionally higher pay bcos starting pay is determined based on formula.
so it is either u have 1 or more years of work exp, or that now everyone with ur qualifications are getting the same pay.

Does anyone knows how is CEP computed for fresh local university graduates?
What are the influencing factors?
Any chances of review as career progresses?
TIA!
