even with GLC, 1st class + scholar + consistent A for 3 years with 1 promotion wont hit 5.75k or 6.1k...
starting 3.8k as fresh grad 1st class.....max is 5k after 3yr with one promotion.

Is there hospitalisation and life insurance coverage in the civil service? Or do you have to buy yourself? The offer that I got requires me to buy my own hospitalisation and life insurance coverage.

Think that's pretty standard. Should get extra Medisave contribution though - 1%? - which can help cover premiums.

Hi all,
I need some help on a salary package. Does anyone know how much MOE is paying for their senior executive post (executive equivalent). What I heard from people, is they have about 2 months of bonus for a C grade , and annual increment is not bad as well (around 200+). If I am asking for a S$4400 - 4500 base pay with around 2 yrs of experience, would that deemed unreasonable to them? I am drawing about 4K as of now.
And also, if there is any chance for negotiation, many thanks!

I see, thank you so much for the prompt reply. Do you know if the bonuses paid out are standardized across different ministries. Is it true MOE can get a 2 month bonus for an average C grade performer? Thanks!

No, first of all, bonuses different across different job grade for the same performance grade (i.e. C at MX11 bonus may be 2 months while C at MX12 may be 1.5 months). The rationale being it is harder to get a C grade at a higher job grade than a lower one, hence those at the higher job grade deserves a higher bonus.
Second, a C at MX12 at MOE may get more or less bonus than a C at MX12 of another ministry. It really depends on how the HR at the various ministries want to divide up their bonus pie. MOF will allocate the bonus pie to the ministry based on headcount, but it is up to the HR at the ministry to decide whether they value talent or equity more (i.e. if they give more bonuses to A graders then the others will get a smaller cut of the pie, but if they give more bonuses to average C graders then the high-performing A and B graders might leave for greener pastures). In general, a C grader at MX12 can range from 1.5 to 2 months depending on the ministry.
