Hi

2nd upper honours fromlocal university, non-scholar, farmer, engineering degree, 29 years old

Currently drawing around $5800 after aroud 4 years in civil service, excluding NS.

I knowi a comfortable salary but cannot help but to ponder whether the private sector or other type of jobs will offer better opportunities and remmueration?

Thanks.

i suppose you female(non-NS)???

you MX11????

what a great salary!!!!

like that you annual is about 90k to 100k....

please stay in your civil service, unless you are going into IB, no other private company especially in engineering sector is going to pay you 5.8k for 4 years exp(even if it is totally 1-to-1 relevant)

I am in GLC engineer , 2nd lower NUS, not even smell 4k basic after 5 years....

Hi

I am male and with 1 promotion. I now the salary is comfortable and civil service is comfortable and stable. I was just wonderin private sector or construction sector will be able to offer better opportunities and higher remmuneration?

Continue in civil service is certainly a more viable option but not too sure what is my ceiling cap though.

construction sector is cfm more xiong, maybe as project manager, can get 7-9k..I dunno about the annual package, is cfm more OT, work-life UNbalance...etc

as a non-scholar, I think the ceiling is MX9, or director of a dept, ceiling at approx $16k/mth

is it possible for you to state some info.

assume you grad in 2008july

2008july, MX13>>$xxxx starting pay
2009apr, MX12>>$xxxx (AI, annual increment + promotion)
2010apr,MX12>>$xxxx (AI)
2011apr,MX11>>$xxxx (AI + promotion)
2012feb,MX11>>$xxxx(+10% salary adj for civil servant)
2012apr,MX11>>$5800 (AI)

maybe just reveal the 1st 2 figure ie, 46xx.....
