I'm 30yo this year, single.

Earning low 4k+ and just got my increment of $200 wef Jan 2020. Bonus is not guaranteed as no 13th month bonus, likely just 0.5 month for this year's "performance".

I'm currently dating a foreigner and have intentions to marry her in the next 1-2 years but my savings are quite less (about $40k).

just trying to find out how much savings does one has at 30yo (assuming not married yet

About 30k in savings

Is this a healthy level of salary and saving

No debts. Looking to get married in about 2-4 years time, now just balancing building savings for housing/wedding and at the same time putting aside money for investments (still not super sure on what to invest so just keep as cash first).

If anyone has any tips to share for someone around my age... please share Thank you!
Same age as you. But I am working at the learning lab, salary is 4.5k as teacher.

Hi, 30+ yo Singaporean male seeking genuine advice from the 40s-60s age group here. Professional finance job making 100k pa. Currently deciding between chasing two very different girls. First girl is diploma holder, secretary role, 小女人 type and submissive, earning 40k pa. Second girl is degree holder, a colleague in a similar role and ~100k pa pay (different office), career-minded, a little opinionated. I'm not big on looks, its just the personalities I'm interested in to form a family with. Both seem receptive to my wooing.

For those who has decades of married life experience, which girl would give a better shot at a successful and happy life in SG? I had NS friends who are happily married to foreign kampung-types brides and also some unhappy with marrying high-achieving types despite living in condos and driving conti cars. Thanks for sharing your life advice.

Malaysian chinese wives so far and Thai seem like a good choice as i have friends aroudn who are married to them. These 2 nationalities seem to usually be hardworking at home, make good mothers/wives material and don't ask for too much material requests.

Generalisation of cos..
