Of course, we'll never be colleagues since I'll be permanently blacklisting you after our meeting, and (assuming you're even a lawyer) you'll have fewer exit options if you were looking at joining an MC firm.
But what the hell, it's a small price to pay for finding out the truth isn't it? I await your PM.

Jealousy is one of the hardest emotions to stomach. I pray you recover soon from your indigestion.

It's right up there with the need to have the last word. Let me know how your recovery goes too.

There's a fair number of us actually, more than I expected. There's another poster here who trained in HK and is at a US firm, and I can think of at least 6 current trainees across MC/ US firms, including myself. My firm also has at least 2 Singaporean associates and 1 partner.
If you want to get in touch, create an account and I can shoot you a PM if you reply (:

Just created an account, hope to hear from you!
Anyone else who is/will be/ wants to work in HK feel free to drop me a line - maybe we can all get to know each other!

AZUA Extra
Considering being a paralegal at a international law firm in Singapore.
I have been told that I should qualify as a lawyer first instead of 'wasting' my degree to be a paralegal. Could I have some insights on this? Thank you!

For some reason I cannot get PM to work - maybe you can drop me a PM instead?
Sorry for the late reply, had a rather busy week at work.

Lso
Hi,
Some personal background, graduated from (still) scheduled, non-London, UK university with a second upper. Not particularly great results for core modules. I am currently doing my RLT in a small-medium firm, mainly doing criminal work under a former DPP.
I am wondering if anyone here was in a similar situation and if they could share their experiences, and what would a realistic career path be.
I am also wondering about the legal services, specifically whether my qualifications would suffice to be a DPP in AGC or would i likely be an APP?

Wouldn't it make more sense to ask your boss directly since he is a former DPP? Anyway I don't think your profile got chance to enter LSC base on the current officer I see there.

He left legal services a while ago. His advice was to give it a shot, but reading between the lines, he seemed to be conveying that my chances are slim.
Is there discretion, or do they only accept scholars? Would applying for an internship improve my chances?
