I think you mean SGD$183,000 (£110,000).

a few dumb, shallow questions ahead:

i'm starting TC soon at a&g and i'm starting to shop for clothes and stuff, haha. for context, i'm a woman.

1. how's the dresscode like? is it long sleeves and pencil skirt or more casual?

2. same for shoes - must we wear closed toe shoes or are shoes with toes showing okay?

3. are we expected to bring the laptop to and fro from work everyday? or do people generally leave their laptop at work?

4. how cold is the office LOL do women generally bring a jacket?

5. is it common for women to bring two pairs of shoes - heels to wear when going out etc, flats to wear at desk?

Not a woman, but work plenty so happy to share what I've seen works.

1. Stay conservative first, gauge your team/standing then maybe after 2-3 months you can relax a bit

2. See above. Suggest closed toe shoes first.

3. Yes, be ready to work when you reach home in case of fire drills.

4. Yes, bring jacket just in case. If ballsy, can bring shawl.

5. Yes its fine if you're in your own office room. If open plan, can is can la. But generally yes can.

I'm not a woman, but I work with many so thought I'd comment.

3. Yes, so if ppl suddenly email/teams you at night you can reply/do work.

4. Yes can. If you ballsy, can bring shawl too.

5. Can, more discreet if you're in a room. If office plan, then can is can la.

183 per month is ~16k? After tax, I think comparable to b4 no? Taking into account UK NQ is SG 2PQE. Not to mention living expenses and rent etc

16k GBP is 26.5k SGD. Factoring in approx 45% tax that works out to 14.5k - still much higher and not forgetting that the SG lawyer will also have to pay taxes.

1. It's ok to dress like an intern at the start (white blouse + black skirt) especially if you are in litigation. You can start to get creative / fashionable once you get a sense of how your teammates dress.

2. Closed toe recommended.

3. The laptop is your baby. Bring it everywhere you go.

4. Yes, it can be fairly cold.

5. Yes, very common.

That.. corresponds with what I said I believe. If 2/3 are from previous batches then the 30% who passed.. includes re-takers
