My senior also got reputation. People who know him on surface think great lawyer hardworking good family person gentleman but those who know him well disrespect him because it's all an act. You sound like you are keen to maintain some front. Are you my senior.

Where are people getting their info from? (ie A&G pay raise by 17%). Oddly specific number to be just hearsay but won’t be surprised it is.

I've actually heard from reliable friends inside the firm (no I'm not going to release my sources) that the payraise is to 7.5k, but hearsay is from Jan. The 17% increase should be the bridging salary for the 4 months of NQ from Sept to Dec (i.e. from 5.6k to 6.5k - 17% increase), before the pay is raised to 7.5k.

Not sure if applying to Harvard LLM is good:
See s://llm-guide.com/board/usa/harvard-llm-2017-2018-196740#post-id-196789
Quote from the link:
“What we can say is that we do not have a cutoff for GPAs. Specifically, we have accepted people on the UK honors scale (from countries around the world, including the UK) with 2:2 and even Third Class honors. We have accepted people with undergraduate GPAs in the 2.0-3.0 range on the 4.0 scale, etc. Of course, we are a competitive and incredibly rigorous program. When we do accept people with lower grades or GPAs, it is because there are other indicators of intellectual ability and/or likelihood of success, like work experience, subsequent academic performance, and/or some other achievement(s) that set those applicants apart and give us some confidence that they are likely to make a difference in whatever career path they choose.”
How come 2:2/3 also accepted? Oxbridge is clear you need fch.

Not sure whether good to apply to HLS for LLM:

Oxbridge LLM/BCL requires fch. That’s a hard rule.
