Civil Svc/ Statboard - Typical Timeline for making a Hiring Decision

Anyone went interview with organ of state before? I was asked to submit G50 before interview. Went for interview about 3 weeks back. Not sure how long is the wait usually? Plus it was the holiday period.

I’ve received a verbal offer from the HR from Statutory board mid-Dec 2018. However, I’ve followed up with the HR last week and informed me that they have to perform more reference checks. They even requested for me to provide them with my ex-bosses’ email addresses. Till date, they have yet to get back to me.

Would they inform me should they not be to offer me? I’ve left my current job already, FYI. I’m so anxious now.

I heard back from organ of state 15 days after first interview and 13 days after second interview. So average is 2 weeks. But it was non-holiday period. I was asked to submit g50 after being offered.

cs hr are notorious for taking their own sweet time, drop them a message again if you can't wait

Finally signed and starting work in Mid Feb.

Timeline was from End Sep till Feb

i received a firm offer from a healthcare GLC, however at the same time i also got a verbal offer from a stat board and am going through the hr neogitations and ref checks.

Is it ok for me to accept the GLC's offer first, and then reject them later when the stat board's firm offer comes? The stat board just started ref checks today and i don't expect them to complte it so fast. I need to give an answer to the GLC by next week.

Should i buy more time from the GLC, accept their offer and then reject them while i wait for the stat board's firm offer?

how long does g50 normally take? i submitted 2 months ago but still no news... cat1 application i think if it helps

how long pub call for interview? 1 or 2 month?

Went for an interview. Lasted ~15 minutes. Think it is a bad sign. Sigh...

Personal timeline:

-Apply for a position early sep
-received call up in early oct
-setup interview in mid oct
-informed that i was being shortlisted and to
submit necessary documents, g50 and reference check
-received verbal offer through phone in mid nov
-medical checkup in end nov
-sign letter on jan
