Civil Svc/ Statboard - Typical Timeline for making a Hiring Decision

Here is mine, I think I got very lucky and I don’t think it applies to most people.

Applied: 6 June (status showed ‘Unsuccessful’ after a month)
Call for interview: 6 August
Interview: 21 August (HR called me 2 days after interview to express interest)
Verbal offer: 2 September
Actual offer: 16 September

I took a long time to secure an interview, but I believe if they want you, the whole process speeds up by a lot. If you’re waiting approximately a month after attending your last interview, I would keep looking (for most cases).

Just wondering from verbal offer to the actual signing of contract, do you guys still attend interviews?

I don't. Cause most ppl will eventually get through without issues. Only some will fail. A lot who passed don't come commenting on this forum.
Also probably need to take leave for medical and stuff also. If really keen on job, rest a while first and wait for.

No, I did a 6-question test when I went down.

Hi, i went for an interview on the last week of Aug, and submitted my DOB and NRIC to them 1st week of Sep. Till now i still havent received any calls yet. Would like to check is this normal?

Wow unsuccessful still can have interview. U are really lucky!
I have 4 unsuccessful but no luck.
One still under submitted for 2 months
One in progress but the position is reposted after one week of closing date .
I think I am not fated to worked in government sector.
