If you want to avoid fsbb, cross deploy to primary school.
ALL sec schools are on fsbb.

There are a number of express-only (or other IP/specialised schools) that will effectively not be on FSBB for now.

FSBB is the current direction, and in my opinion, it's a good direction. The positive impact on student learning attitudes and classroom cultures is very visible, particularly compared to my experience with full NT and NA classes prior to FSBB. Many more students are aspirational - they aim to step up in particular favourite subjects; take pride in the subjects they are doing at more demanding levels; and mix around with classmates and schoolmates from different profiles.
Drawbacks to FSBB are that you will need to be comfortable with administrative flux, changing class sizes, mid-year inserts, taking multiple levels of IP prep due to timetabling constraints, complexities with your form class especially when it comes to addressing parents' concerns and queries at PTM for differing student profiles, and of course the poor TT comm that needs to generate a timetable while accounting for innumerable bandings and limited classrooms. In my opinion from having worked with FSBB for a few years - the vision is very good for students, the implementation is painful but workable for staff, and I'm proud to teach in a FSBB school.
If you're not onboard with FSBB, in the medium term, perhaps consider a secondment to independent schools. If you settle in well, you can convert to a perm contract with the independent school.
