if they have a real passion for teaching what do you expect them to do? moe is the monopoly employer ..

8th year teacher here. Thank you.

Not all teachers complain or point fingers blah blah. It's just the minority. You do well, you get financially rewarded with promotion and merit increments. By the end of a few years, you will already be earning quite a few hundreds or even a thousand more than your peers. So i have nothing to complain. I was in the private sector doing something relevant to my degree...man, that one i have more complaints. No sense of camaraderie and stability. One day the whole team can be asked to go or take a paycut because of covid or whatnot. I much prefer the stability that civil service offers. Yes, you won't be rich, but as if i will be rich working in the private sector also. I'm just thankful that the pay is fair, allows me to start a family, buy a house, own a brand new car and go for holidays every year guaranteed. Paid holiday if you will. What's there to complain? Colleagues not nice, then try to make them nice to you. Or change schools only.

Default Money

What part of teacher is valuable to the society. It is all about money. Not caring about the performance of the students.

Waiting for big fat cheque montly and go travel at least once a year. (Most teachers do like to travel)

People are complaining because they see a drop of standard for the teachers nowadays.

To reduce the likes of the complainers? May ask well tell them to cease their existence.

Rubbish reply. Point made on the original point was about stereotyping teachers as such. Perhaps u are too cognitively challenged to realise

Rubbish reply. Don't even need to explain. Self-explanatory

Sadly, yes. Inclusive of both.

And performance was B.

In a normal year, it should be at least $500.

All government jobs come with stability. It is not exclusive to teaching

Progression (income) is faster for other public sector jobs.

Income definitely varies according to ministry and role.
Cybersecurity vs teacher. We all know who will earn more.
SAF regular vs teacher…same.

The point is, just be grateful. Many teachers always pit themselves to people from other jobs or other ministries. Then why you come teaching in the first place if everywhere else so good? Teachers enjoy long holidays, other people got complain? Give and take. Be contented with what you have. If you can’t do that, then go elsewhere that pays more and stop complaining.
