Totally agree that geo 3 is doing the same as geo 5 but the promotion and pay wise is soooooooooo low and long.

Hmm, I would say that at least all GEO3 received nearly twice the adjustment compared to GEO4. Those newly promoted to GEO4 lost out the most, with everything considered.

Those 2017/2018 batch people who missed out on GEO3 to GEO4 this April had a silver lining waiting for them. They get one more year ranked as GEO3, and if they hit GEO4 next year they'll be on par with those who got their promotion this year.

Possible to exceed, depending on perf grade. Especially if the new GEO4 got 'default C'.

I have been teaching for 5 years and currently at GEO4 rank. Currently drawing 6k base. Am I underpaid? Planning to speak to RO to nego my pay.

a GEO 3 nearing the new ceiling of 6k could be higher paid than GEO 4, and pb could be higher ...so what could be the motivation to promote - other than aiming for higher pay?
