I think any company should have a basic pantry for staff and not expect staff to "pay for items" or at least have basic coffee machine

It is like we ran out of things to complain and have to list pantry as our misgiving. Stay focused, don't let HR and partners think pantry is the only thing to improve.

Things to improve

1. Give me higher pay
2. Give me less things to do

I have worked with Max before. He is one of the most generous and charismatic partner I have ever met. The reason for double or triple booking is to allow associates and seniors to have more learning opportunities and they should be grateful for that.

We also provide many opportunities for A1 and A2 to perform senior tasks. They should thank us instead of whining like a strawberry. Other firm A1 want to do FS , consol and solo one engagement also no chance to do.
A1 haven’t learn to walk and you expecting them to fly LOL. Can forget about audit quality already

Actually as a senior I would say the A1s these days are doing less than what I did 2 years ago. Back then some of us were asked to step up and we did, but we are nice enough not to expect the juniors to do the same. So I end up doing the same section three years in a row.

With work from home, there is no team spirit, I have not personally met the new hires in my team. Efficiency is lower and meetings are more draggy as well.

I felt those who stayed back in big 4 is partially because of team spirit , everyone working late together in office with dinner , supper, gossip sessions together. Now, I dont see that in the younger generation, office is empty even though the rest of the building people have started coming back. I do not think it is a good move to allow work from home indefinitely. It will really result in higher attrition rate due to lack of loyalty, bonding and team spirit due to which juniors feel unsupported & as if they are left to drown. This was not the case previously .

Due to this, i think the company that choose to allow work from home indefinitely will suffer in the long term
