I wonder what will the bonus be like this dec...

I am a graduate frm SIM. Joined a govt ministry in 2005. starting pay given to me back then was 2.3k. I was a 2nd lower honours

After 1 year i was sent for a scholarship to do my masters in NTU.

today my salary is 4.5k....

BUT i still feel im underpaid fr the amt of work I do..

Not true.. I believe getting the job is a dependent on how much the employer likes your character and how your past work experience can contribute to the organization.. Not so much of whether the degree is from NUS, NTU or UniSIM...
I completed my UniSIM degree while working in a stat board.. After the recent completion of the program, i got converted to a graduate position with a good salary revision... so it really depends whether the organization thinks that you con contribute as a graduate or not... I do have friends from who did their studies in NTU/NUS but are still in their diploma jobs after graduation... its definitely more about the person than where the piece of toilet paper was printed..

C+ / non-scholar. What is the average starting pay at other ministries? Has it really risen by that much (3.7K in mine)?

Hi there. I am surprised they gave u a scholarship to do masters (albeit locally) after just one year. Study leave for one year for you to study (with monthly salary etc)?

Recently there is an adjustment to salary at my board..I realize my adjustment is lower as compared to others..does this mean anything?

It means your current pay is not too far off from the benchmark according to your current roles - that's why less adjustment needed. In my ministry, some get close to 4 digit and some get only 2 digit adjustment.

Pardon my ignorance, but I am curious as to whether MX13s who have the same qualification but are from different ministries get paid the same or different? My question relates to just the MX scheme, and not other schemes like legal, intelligence, economist etc.

For example, is a first-class honours (with NS) grad who joins at MX13 at MTI or MND or MOM going to be paid the same? Or are there adjustments based on what ministry one joins?

MX13 under mindef get paid the highest?? for 1st class???

from what I noe a friend of mine NTU 2nd upper in 2008 july with NS get 3600 as DXO in mindef

kinda regret joining govt so early on in my career..

increments r so darn slow. 5% a year????? pffffttttttt

PS: quite worried for PB and SVP this year...hope it's not as bad as 2008/2009 levels
