Yadda Yadda Yadda.. meaningless words and statements from a nobody on a thread they obviously have no real life connection to.
BTW, because you fail to comprehend a simple logical fallacy that any first year law student would, I'll patronise and answer your question in layman's terms. The burden is not on me to disprove your statement, it is rather on you to prove it having made the claim in the first place. See? Hardly 'esoteric' at all
Lastly, I won't have time to reply to you anymore. Enjoy your miserable life and job and know that I consider myself lucky I'll never have the displeasure of mixing with people like you. Ciao

If you want to end up in finance, start in finance.

I would like to ask you what is my statement I have to prove. Since you probably expect more from me, I believe this statement I have to prove is the advice I posted right at the top. Generalizing your idea that everyone has the burden of proving what he or she says, then you are probably consumed by the bigger battle by getting a proof for each comment made in this forum.
But if you just need a proof from me, I could go to every single Blackstone employee LinkedIn page and track which came from a finance related degree or company and which from a law degree or firm. How do you like your chances that I'll find more from the former than from the latter? I guess not much.

There are no high flyers here, only lowly lawyers.

For all the posts and exchanges, i would suspect 50% are not lawyers actually. They are people who know and have seen a lawyer

Nobody can give a meaningful answer to that.
Firstly, very few legal counsel positions employ fresh grads. Most would have come in with a few years of private practice experience.
Secondly and leading on from the first, it really depends on industry and experience. Oil and gas would obviously pay more than stat board or SME legal counsel.
Perhaps the only thing to say is that it will be benchmarked against comparable private practice salaries of equivalent experience but with very wide variance across industry sectors or companies.
Your question is as vague as asking what's the starting salary of an office job at raffles place
