Like any other industry. If one handles a lot of high profile case and mingles a lot outside of work, you tend to hear his or her name in conversations.

Some are content to just keep a low profile. To them, their identity does not revolve around their profession.

Worked there. Am happy, work is relatively standard and simple, does not involve long hours, earn enough. Most importantly, no stress.

Hang on. I am struggling too. My situation is also quite dire and depressing.

Any lawyers here looking for associate positions? How many resumes and cvs do you send out before there is a reply?

I am not a lawyer but my situation is the same as you. I resigned and now I find the job search quite demoralizing. I find that there are not much job openings for paralegal, legal secretaries and law firm support staff.

Those in law firms, can you tell me if law firms have ceased hiring support staff. Any former law firm support staff also facing the same thing as I do?

Or can anyone tell me which law firm is hiring?

I am rather strapped.

Afaik hiring is still going on at normal at my firm (big 4). Over the last week I've noticed new lawyers and support staff coming in. Though likely the process is delayed because of covid. Keep trying!

Especially the last episode of the latest season of TGF - I do not think any shows will be so daring to include a real life figure and incident in the storyline plot.
righttt!! esp the first EP of the latest season of TGF - they actually made me question what a world will look like if Hilary was elected instead of Trump
