Just dropping by to say that your story and journey is quite inspiring for someone like me who also just gotten a diploma(part time) in one of the local poly's and currently looking to switch career and earning a better salary than my current job

Thanks, bro! Happy to be able to share with you. For someone who just joined the workforce, like yourself, your hard work is just the beginning. As you move one baby step at a time, you'll be amazed at what you have gone through to get where you will be in the future.

So I wish for your best also! Long road ahead but you will have a fruitful reward at the end of the day.

Yep! I'll update here again, stay tune!

Hi! Just wanna say that your story is very inspiring and you are doing way better than me despite graduating from poly during the same period. I started working full time for a few years and went back studying and entering into the work force again soon. You are doing great! Best of luck!

Hello, everyone! A little update and great news! I'm a father of one now! My child was born just few days ago! It's a boy! My wife is well and my son is well too. So thank goodness for that. Naturally, more responsibilty are coming my way. And we are ready for it.

Also, just nice before my boy was born, I've found a new job. New job is at a very big company, doing the usual scopes which I'm good at. Of coz, big company means better benefits and better pay. Kinda looking foward to the new company. Hopefully,it's a good stay over there.

My personnal opinion, this is my first and last time joining a SME company. Though I can learn many things (because I have to do it, if not no one is doing), management is messy, way way too many things to do already. I understand it's a small company, not enough man-power,so have to do it all by yourself. I'll just take it as an eye-opener for me to experience working in a SME company.

Congratulations to me and my wife(:

Don’t want to come across negative but is it not difficult to raise a family with the compensation that a diploma and your industry offers?

1 kid and hdb 4 room should be alright. for expenses dont splurge lor. dont buy car also or condo can already. some people buy condo and own a car then say their pay is peanuts.

Awesome!

Congratulations man.

I will agree, SME is awful, heard many similar experiences. One reason I targeted large tech companies over SMEs even when they offered better pay packages... no pay is worth the insane stress and chance that you will be overworked and abused.

Anyway take care of your family during these COVID times, especially the young ones. Stay safe my friend.

Hey man, just want to congratulate you on your journey so far

Just curious about a few things though.

With a kid now, I'm guessing you'll be the only one working? Your wife would probably be a housewife?

Are you planning to go for a degree to boost your salary further?
