Thanks for reply. But it does seemed abit unprofessional if they still post the job opening on career@gov and quickly update as unsuccessful due to reasons like the ones you mentioned.

Just cleared my interview and was told there is a clearance portion and an approval portion before the next stage in the hiring process can take place. Any idea how long these 2 would take? I am guessing its the holiday period so it will take some time.

need some advice
went for 2 job interviews...
Sb A- after round 1 interview, the rejection emails came in about 1 week.
Therefore,I moved on to apply for another position( a fresh grad position),around 1 week later ,the status had turned into unsuccessful
Sb B- After the final interview, I had received rejection email the nextday.......super efficient😒
lol,I think Sb A keep my record in the HR system, so HR had filtered me out during the prescreening of 2nd position😞
Seems like I am blacklisted ☠️
which make me worry about Sb B, as they had rejected me now...
But Sb B has other positions which I'm also interested to apply.
I don't know if I should continue to apply for jobs in SBs....
But if they keep bad scores, then it's a totally waste of time.
Should I consider to work in private sector a few more years before applying jobs in the SBs and Hope the HR will consider my future profile.

SB A called me 1day before the interview,to change my interview slot to much later time....
SB B after I had reached for interview, asked me to wait ... probably 1.5-2hr later, I was called in.

Don’t try SB and apply for private. I am worse off than you with no hon 4 years engineering degree. Started eight years ago with less than 2.5 starting salary. Now earning more than $8k basic doing engineering related work.
Even if you are lucky to join SB, you will not be valued highly even you have good performance due to lower CEP. Don’t mind Low starting pay, as long as you work hard, you will be rewarded at private companies.
