Long term. Meaning 2 year contract subjecting to renewable kind?
Pretty sure they will try to lowball. Sad

Most CS jobs nowadays are in contract rather than perm role. No more iron bowl.
Its up to your ability to secure the renewal.
As long as you can complete the contract, you are entitled to the bonuses and benefits.
Even your starting date is on 31st Dec 2020, you are entitled to 1 day pro-ration of AWS, VB and PB in 2020, as long as your contract is longer than 1 year.

Would like to know how long the approval process takes for a Mindef internal agency, have received an indicative offer around a month back after quite a number of months of interviews and tests. So far HR is still processing my application when I called to check up on the status.

what did the indicative offer consist of? are you currently awaiting any other checks or test results?

Would like some advice. I applied for 2 positions about 2 months back, 1 month ago the status was ‘shortlisted’. Today i just checked, it got changed to ‘in process’. What does it mean?

the same position when from submitted > shortlisted > in process? or are you referring to 2 separate applications?
In process just means that the HR has received and opened ur application to view. "shortlisted" usually means they are LIKELY to call you for an interview / further steps. all the best!!
However, as with most recruitment processes, nothing is guaranteed, sometimes the HR just doesn't update the status at all.
