hai,
HR called me and told me the hiring side mgmt suddenly thinking of change in strategy and and he himself dunno what exactly is going on and he waiting for more details from the department
says he says currently put on hold and might need another 2 weeks to find out from the dept and den he will let me know whether they want to proceed ahead with the hiring or not
why like tt... after conducting all the interviews, den now suddenly say like tt

Oh dear. This is bad. I wish such companies learn to respect the interviewees. They opened up the job position, got candidates to go for interviews, made candidates wait for the results and now they said such things.
On the positive side, the fact that they inform u of this means that if they go ahead with the recruitment, u would be shortlisted?

still have hope, at least they got back to you.
ministry or stat board btw?

dunno leh
he said hes calling to ask how am i with the job search and if i have received other offers
i asked how was the intw feedback... they say u did well
den i think i sounded abit sian cause of the on hold
den the HR say... nothing to worry.. i will let u know in 2 weeks
den i ask what has changed etc... he say hes not sure... still waiting for decision from the business side whether to carry on with the hiring... but that you are the first one we called so u can guess

Sounds dubious...
Keep on applying to other jobs and try to get interviews and offers in the mean time. You never know - another offer might become so compelling that it beats this one. In short dont just pin all your hopes on one thing. Gd luck!
