Some gets called up within days and already secured their offer. If you are not called up, means you are not shortlisted.

That’s unfortunate. Is there a way to find out why it was rejected?

You could ask but they might not reply.
Typical case is when the degree is not recognised.
Then people asked govt to publish the list of recognised unis by ministries..
So far only Min of Law has done so.

Uh! Okays, thank you! In this case, looks like I’m stuck……
I wonder if fellow dip holder educators feel the same way.

What do you mean by SEO1 post? If you're referring to SH/LH/ST role, you can apply for these if you are currently GEO4.

There's no way to check your CEP la.

I've never personally seen it, but when the HRP open posting service first launched, people were reporting that their application couldn't be submitted for certain roles, and the hypothesis was that was an indicator of insufficient CEP.

Not sure if that's true, or was still the case this year.

Adding on about dip eds...

I've asked a few ROs in the past, they insisted that the dip is not the only determining factor. However, when I asked further how then did they decide my first year's CEP since they know nothing much about me (except a few weeks of actual teaching from the first panel evaluation) they then kept quiet. From what I've seen, opportunities are limited, growth is restricted, especially in the beginning years when they are just happy with the CEP they gave at the start. Then when life commitments roll in, they say with X-years experience, I should be doing even more now. And everyone selectively forgets that after 14y, climbing from 2.2, 2.1, 2A1... GEO1, GEO2.. I've only just moved to GEO 3, bringing home only 2.9 per month. OPE has not worked. Trying different tracks was not an option - was advised to stay on teaching track etc.

People have since forgotten that we exist... just because there's less of us now doesn't mean that we disappeared. Even worse for those of us who are promised emplacement only to be left behind when they merged the scales and say - no such thing anymore. Just feeling so tired.
