[QUOTE=Unregistered;294408]Hi i got posted to Regent sec for my practicum. Does anyone have info on this school? Heard of the low manpower and high turnover rate. :`< any way i can request to change schools?
I am from a neighbouring school. An infamous school. You should just give it a try. Can always fail your first practicum and be posted to another school if you cant handle it.

Funny you would pin the blame on KPs.
With EO headcount set to decrease and decrease over the next several years, even a perfectly equal or equitable workload distribution (if that is even possible) will lead to a steady increase in workload for everybody, including the KPs themselves.
Those Gen Zs that you are referring to won't be able to cope with the realities that come with the shrinking workforce and aging population, which will hit all working adults in Singapore, not just teachers.

If manpower falls, then total workload shouldered by the entire service must also fall proportionately. If headcount is going to drop so much, but schools are doing the same or even more, then teachers are going to be stretched. Simple math.

If you are leaving the service and your last day of work is 31 Dec, do you still get pro rated connect plan? Any difference if you leave on your payout year vs non payout year?
What about PB? Pro rated also?
Thanks

If I'm not wrong, if you leave on the non payout year, you don't get anything. If you leave on 31 dec of the payout year, then you will get.
I'm not sure about the PB.

As an old millenial in my late 30s, i feel workplaces will be a better place once Gen Zs and the younger millenials fill up leadership positions. Boomers, gen X and older millenials care less about the well-being of people under them. It is all about how much they can squeeze out of people under them to make themselves look good. And most are toxic people.

Yes, really looking forward to people-centric leadership all the way at the top. That is the advantage of having young scholars being promoted extremely quickly - although it remains to be seen whether the newest crop of high flyers will still be able to hold on to their generation's values when they assume top management positions, or be forced/sucked into doing things the old ways
