You say until so easy ? Try working thru peak at 15 hours a day for 7 days a week during your junior years
Sound easy. A few years only. U age faster than your peers esp if u are a girl and get ugly and fat due to lack of sleep and exercise
With pathetic pay
No one in their right mind should stay

I don't think hours are that good even at manager or SM level. And frankly >60 hours work week, no training/guidance, low job satisfaction since not exactly value adding, and sometimes shitty clients or bosses. It get de-motivating real fast
And why stay when you reach M or SM? You can get the similar pay and much better hours if you manage to switch to outside.

Lol that is the question you can ask the minons who keep saying the M/SMs got nothing to do.
The only ones that won’t tender are the partners. I have only seen one that really did in my firm for past eight years and he went to join politics.

The fact that only a handful of people stay until SM should clue you in that it's actually difficult and torturous to last for that long. Nobody starts off a career thinking of quitting. Everyone hopes to rise to senior level. But how many actually make it?
You make it sound so easy. This is just like the Simpsons meme:
1. Step one
2. Step two
3. ????
4. PROFIT!!!

But I guess too many overseas or apathetic sheeps in mid tier call out their employers for modern slavery contracts
Even if Big4 managers terminate the bond post overseas secondment, it is just claw back of certain bonus and fees related to the secondment.
