only if your spouse earns the same or more than you, and min 35 years old. biggest killer is not mortgage but that 30% downpayment, and the fact that 1M condo these days are just 480sqft studios which is not very livable unless you are a minimalist single. inb4 trolls say geylang condo cheap

Better to get a huge resale HDB at 30. I went into banking bc I want a condo and audit pay ain't getting you that.

of course if you're super frugal then you can get one earlier but if you want a condo you're probably the type who won't eat cai fan everyday just to skimp

hahahahahaha this is the quality of your fellow professionals. Song bo auditors? Study so hard yet same level as this jhk

=======================

I get mildly annoyed when people in accounting claim they “study so hard” when clearly the university entry scores says otherwise.

If you got straight As and chose accounting over comp sci, that’s on you, not the system.

it used to be stringent back when i entered uni... comp sci is the degree to study if you suck at studying... things only changed recently with covid. perception only changed after google folks making 500k became common news
