better to start at as high a salary as possible when you're young. especially when u're aiming to buy a house and get married and put the rest in investments etc.

Some poster above cited a double degree NtU top scorer who went to KPMG in 2015. i think he seriously made the wrong choice.

this dude is the 2021 NBS valedictorian for BBus & BAcc double degree. Bain & Co associate consultant. this should be the kind of roles tt top scorers should aim for. where the comp and exit options are commensurate with their talents:

When are you leaving? The valedictorians and most FCHs that I know have all left. Even those that hardcore say "audit for life" have left.

He has left and is doing well in and outside KPMG.

Some M1s now got S$7.2k.

S$7.2k x 14 = S$100k.

I'm guessing the difference between the numbers provided by the 2 of you is because of KPMG's 20% raise? Since 6k * 1.2 just nice = 7.2k.

Please correct me if mistaken.

But the NBS LKY Gold Medalist for Accountancy in 2021 went B4 instead.

Yellow adjusted the salaries 2 months ago. M1 from tax now got S$7k+. Not sure about audit. Should be similar I guess.

Asides from audit, the tech consulting in B4 pays quite well for Manager grade too. 7k x 14 months for someone with 4 to 5 years exp is decent.
