In another forum I read pay for entry level compliance analyst in local bank is about 50kpa? so high for a boring job? can someone advise on this?
Some context: Fresh Grad/uk uni/2:1
which would you guys take...

I would go for corporate fraud, it opens interesting doors. Whether to govt ( CPIB, CAD..) or even compliance advisory role in financial services. Compliance at the junior level is rather operational (performing tasks from a checklist which will bore the ambition outta you).. It's kinda a dead-end role when market reaches a saturation.
50k is pretty average... for local banks be prepared to accept lower.

Hi guys,
Recently interviewed at a Jap bank for a middle office role and shortly after the final round of interview their HR asked the recruiter for my past 3 year bonus slips...so it seems that they may be working something out.
I had asked for at least $7.5k, up from my current drawn of $6k (~5 yrs exp in local bank). Do you think this would be a worthwhile hop if they do indeed get back with a comparable offer?

They have "unofficially" made an offer through the recruiter for $7k but with a 3 month sign-on. Trying to negotiate for a higher base (at least 20%)...

It seems to be a very good offer. How about the average bonus that you will be getting as compared to current job?

From various sources, it seems to be comparable (3-6 months). A bit worried about the culture fit though and prospects.
