but usually, Fresh Grad comes in as D/E if you are Tap.
Grade D,E,F = Associate Engineer
Grade G & H = Engineer
Grade I = Senior Engineer
Grade J = Lead/Executive Engineer

D-F can achieve within 2-5 years, as TAP comes in as E
G & H are the mainstays of GT, can achieve within 2-3 years from F
I & J is RO(Boss) grade can achieve witin 4 - 10 years

but YMMV

So TAP start at E, means approx 2 years to reach F, +2~3years to H
Means end of approx 5~6 years will be grade I?

that is the expectation

For tech industry, it's very "up or out" so ppl who can't reach a promotion by a certain timeline will be managed out.

exactly. market so hot people are jumping out after a few years in GovTech

but TAP with "fast-track" remains one of the best training grounds (mentorship/conferences/training opportunities + much higher salary???) for fresh grads

large-scale smart nation projects are meaningful work too

the competition though...

I remember developers used to be venders (outsourced). Now it is full of scholars. Whats happened ah??? Outsourcing is dead??
