In my division, perms are asked to go while ARs are asked to stay, regardless of their past present or perceived future output/outcome. This is the case even when perms are better at work, more competent and take greater responsibilities. Obviously we don’t have a budget issue or timeline issue or quality issues but MMF issues but no one dares to question this ridiculous constraint that drives everyone crazy. Wonder if I should just write to PM Lee to complain about this. After all, is this a good use of tax payer money? Or should I just write to WP and see if this will be brought up for parliament debate?

u shuld write to PM if its real.
i've never heard of AR staying, most ARs are let go once their contract expires.
HR had placed AR under MMF even though officially AR is not under MMF. thats why AR to go first, that'll reduce Headcoubt. surprised by wat your division did.

Ur div doesn’t seem to work on anything critical. A boss who knows his stuff and staff wouldn’t allow such thing to happen unless the goal is to sunset the div. When a critical mass of critical staff are gone, the rest will just leave at an accelerated speed as they can’t take the load anymore. I suggest you find another place asap before it’s too late.

Don’t jump to conclusion too quickly. In my place, ARs got backfilled but perms are not. It’s gonna be BAU.

Perm will not get terminated. Unless u have been in pip then u got that coming already.
Conversion? Highly unlikely cause who dare to bring up. Just extend another year also no problem. Benefits all remain the same
