Either their starting pay is too high or the HDB shouldn't be allowed for them.
Doesn't make sense.
1. I want high starting pay.
2. I want to pay less for my house.
3. I want to pay less for the product I buy.
4. I want to get paid more for the product I develop.

hope you start to have a growth mindset instead of a fixed mindset

Well everyone have to start somewhere.
800k can get you a nice 5 room HDB in a centralise location, 800k will not be sufficient for 3 room condo in the same area.
Majority of high earners will eventually move up to condo and landed.

I heard govtech if you are not a scholar or have master or PhD etc. You're not up for promotion.
Then all the brains just offer contract job for people to do all the tedious coding?
Is it true.

This one is like what people always say about Gov Job.
No scholar - No promotion
No degree - no promotion
No qualification - no promotion
Although it is no longer the case, it was quite true in the past.

Yes can confirm. My ex ncs colleague who exodus to govtech.
The one who is project manager ( nus master of knowledge engineering or something) got in can't code one.
The one who is our best developer. He did all the coding. Ux etc. Web. Android. Web services. Data see tuning... He didn't get in cause he is only ntu comp engineering 3rd class. But he is self leaned software developer. He can come up a prototype in less than 1 month. End up boss give him everything. Good server. Good laptop etc. But be wanted to quit cause he overworked...
So yep. You can code no use.
They see qualification. The more master they have. The more "talented" they appear.
