I got an offer as a JG4 with 3years experience. HR told me that forums/glassdoors are totally false and cannot believe.
Told her I have some dates to take leave to take care of family members during probation kenna scolded say need to weigh in expectations etc. Then say cfm cannot run away from weekends duties, burning midnight oils and perma work in office environment.
Hear alr run far far away lol even though the leaves benefits etc are ok

Lol, normally during probation or in general, your leaves are not entitled yet, so technically its right on this part.
For the work related duties, if not your liking, find somewhere else ba cuz its confirmed to be 24/7 and need to support the apps for any infra weekend activities though not all apps are 24/7 kind.

Not true, lol. I stated a few dates that I am willing to take "no pay leaves" if i cant take any annual leave. So I have a few dates that I have to go on leave. I've already told them in advance during the interview & initial salary negotiation phase etc, then right before i sign i reiterate then they pull this stunt.

So i don't get the argument why ihis has to be managed in a different way that kills the longevity of their staff, as though the problems they are facing are unique to ihis only.... which is not true.. i have seen 24/7 systems managed very well with good planning, workload and rotation and staff retention is high
IHIS seems to have problems retaining talent because of shoddy management or overwhelming workloads.. their mid managements are strong headed and set in their old ways.
The problems are so deep seated, it is not something that can be solved in afew years

That's the general problem with many GLCs and government agencies. They have a whole bunch of sycophants in middle management with no real kpis. Have to play politics and put on bureaucratic theatre to shine.

all cultural talk in a salary forum
other threads are talking about ranking and progression and salary, but ihis is the only one on culture which should already ring some alarm bells ... not even prospective joiners, current employees and past employees want to put a good word in.. already speaks volume.. which other company is like that
