Normally, it is subject to superior's approval.
Key positions cannot be vacant for too long.

Wait wait really? But their marketing like say until very good leh?
So no difference from DSTA, Govtech, A*star or HTX? No clear KPIs, no clear goals, just make your boss happy, play musical chairs and politics and you will rise up?

Recently applied to a AI Lead position. HR was telling me the starting salary would be 9k, and mentioned that easily can get 2 months bonus. Is it BS?
Can someone pls explain the pay grades and promotion criteria? Am I going to step into a red flag zone? Thanks in advance.

not bs PB usually 1.8 months for normal grade
promotion criteria is grey.. but at least must get apprasial above average for 2 years in a row and harder to promote once u are a manager grade (JG6)
