Compare civil service salary

I'm interested in working in the above. Any idea of their salary and pay scale / package?

I'm 34, NUS, 2nd upper, B.Eng. 9yrs in private sector.

I am wondering for all the salaries posted, i.e a 2nd lower fresh grad earning 3.2k in public sector, are they pay w/NS or w/o NS for the guys?? anyway are 3.2k, 3.6k ard the standard for 2nd lower and 2nd upp local degree resp. in the public sector?

I'm in the Navy.

I have worked for 9 years now.

I have only a diploma certificate.

My current gross pay is about $3800

Looking for a higher paying potential job. Any suggestions?

just applied for a job at mindef. and they are offering me $3750 for a dxo position.

is this okay? should i ask for more? i saw someone commenting that mindef now pays about $3.5 to fresh grads....

if so, how much should i ask for?

2nd upper with ns fresh grad = 3500
2nd upper with ns with 1.5 years exp = 3750, the extra 250 i think they just factor in 1.5 years of exp.

i think those fresh grad 2ng upper who start their 1st job at DXO starting pay = 3500, got a 1st pro-rated annual increment(assume they start work in july and AI in april) in the 1st year, get a full incement in the 2nd year, roughly after 1.5years as a DXO from fresh grad for 2nd upper, they are getting around 3750+/-50, around there.

How many round of interviews?
How many essay writing test?
I had apply twice for DXO b4, but did not manage to get thru the psychometric test -_-".

How long do mindef take (ie how many month?)to offer you the DXO job since you send your resume to them?

im a 2nd lower fresh grad in ministry paid 3.2k after NS. I think 2nd upper limit is closer to 3.5k ba.

r u on MX scheme? all the ppl in mx scheme pay scale is same across ministries?

wonder when will the PB & growth bonus comes in? and how much can an avg grader expects??

anyway to answer your qns...

i applied in end december, just slightly before x'mas.
got called up on first week of jan where they scheduled me for a psychometric test on the 14th of jan (i remembered it was friday).
the hr called me again, slightly a week later and scheduled me for an interview on the 25th jan.
two days after, they told me they would like to schedule health screening and security clearance on 4th feb, so i guessed i scored during the interview.
after 4 feb, they took 1.5 weeks to get back and called me on 16 feb with a verbal offer.

i say the whole thing is approx 7 weeks. damn exhausting. zzzzzz.

anyway, i think the psychometric test is impt. perhaps you should buy books to practise. those pattern questions and comprehension questions books can be easily found in bookstores. i admitted to practising them before going for the test. every little bit helps i guess.
