I'm from HR so let me clarify.

Gross pay means the salary in the contract (no employer contribution, but employee contribution is inside)

Yes, I studied part time at suss while I work in private sector for 2 yeras

If the starting pay for fresh is between 2.8 to 3.2, that's $200 increment every year. So it looks about right.
