How substantial is the difference? If you are not at your salary ceiling, the other possibility is that your CEP got lowered.

Seeing this thread makes me alarmed. I'm a 31 yr old male grad at a SB. Got $60k for 2018, all in. Constantly told that I am doing well with my work but paid badly. Should I quit to go private? After all, they say "when you've got nothing, you've got nothing to lose..."

Yes, go. There will be somebody who feels like they stuck a million dollars to take your job. Not sarcasm just a win-win.

most of the people just trolling lol. for every person making 150k per year, 99 makes much lesser than that.

chill, i think the ratio is much bigger than this. 150k at 33yr old +- is at least the top 5%.
But 60k at 31 at SB seems slightly below average, i believe you can get better offer elsewhere. Are you from a small SB? Suggest you change to a bigger one (as new hire, not transfer) or go to private.

however, you still need to do other assessment. like going home on time? flexi working hr? stress? and stuff like that

Whether is it 60k or 150k pa, main thing is to be happy with where you are right now.

If you feel underpaid, then do something to change the situation.

If you are paid well, be thankful and stay humble. This is very hard for some people.

Job happiness can be derived from other forms as well: supportive culture, boss and colleagues, having flexible work hours etc.

Suppose we are all farmers and batchmates with similar FCH degrees. Would we roughly have the same CEP? Does performance at interview influence to CEP pathways.

asking for advice...
Say i was from the pte sector earning at the 95th percentile (exclude PB) for my rank in my field, if i want to join cs/sb, roughly what would be a reasonable (or sensible) cut i should be expecting or requesting?
(did my research, a cut is unavoidable)

For fresh grads male FCH, how much can I ask for in roles like Policy (office)? Im quite confused looking when they ask for desired salary. Is 3.5k ok but i don’t hope to be low-balled. Hope to hear your thoughts,

You did your HW that's good. 3.5 is reasonable. All based on formula take it or leave it
