Anyone with similar experience can advise-
Currently at Ministry (slightly over a year), but looking at a role in Stat board. As it's not a stat board under my ministry, can it still be considered a transfer? How will this impact performance etc? Or will I be required to quit and join as a fresh hire?

why everyone here thinks that private uni no use.
i am from private uni also. 35 this year MX10 in one of the SB on a technical management role, promoted this year.
Joined SB in 2019 Jan as MX11A.
there are definitely many high people out there faster than me, but i think my progression is not bad.
i have 4 direct report, 2 MX11A and MX11 each, of which 1 is holding a master degree from NUS and another a honor from NTU. All 4 if them are older than me.

i am not sure. I joined in 2019 @ 34 as Mx11A.
My direct report was a Mx10. He left in Oct 2019 and i was selected to take over his role (but still at mx11a). Then in April 2021, i was promoted to Mx10.
My 4 direct report
mx11a - 44 YO (local U honors)
mx11a - 44 YO (local U masters)
mx11 - 39 YO
mx11 - 37 YO

1. Most statboards easier to enter than ministries
2. You entered with private sector experience, which is valuable. Most private uni grads do not make it into the civil service i.e. ministries except for places like MSF
