Hi all, how much would the pay be like for a non-NS NTU 2nd lower Hons deg working for 6yrs in a ministry?

Do they take account into non-relevant working experience?

for stat board engineer, can I expect $3800?

BTW, I went to a few stat board for interview, all of them ask if I applied for other statboard/ministry. I'm puzzled why they ask. I did apply for a few and reply them honestly. Will this affect my application?

They are trying to see your "market value" by seeing how much you want a civil service career. And also see whether other ministries are "snatching" you.

When I got the present job that I am in now, the senior management also asked me if I applied for other positions, I told them 3 of them, and all are government ministries, and immediately one director turned and nod her head to the other directors. They also further asked the outcome of interviews at those other ministries and I told them. Just be honest and truthful.

3 weeks later, I got the call from them and I accepted the offer.

can share where do u obtain ur degree and do u have the relevant experience for the job?

My issue is I'm jobless for a year. Told them I went for many interviews, both private and public. Never say directly if I got job offer but say I'm waiting for replies. My situation is working against me, don't know how to get around it.
