I completed NS. Not a scholar with first class.

for 1st class, after 5 years, can hit at least 6k-6.5k minimum, if good can hit 7k-8k

1st class, male with NS in EMA for 4-5 years can command how much pay?

You only have a pass degree from a local uni.Be glad they even offered you the job and be happy they give you that much. I started at 3k 7 years ago with an honors degree.

It's actually alright, because I would be looking at 3400.. If you had joined the uniform services, it would probably be 3700.

I had the impression based on looking at the previous posts in this thread that I can realistically get mid to high 3k. Currently drawing 4.3k in the private industry (IT) but company is going under. No AWS and bonus freeze. Company is undergoing a retrenchment exercise.

I guess the figures here are over-inflated.

To the guy who is interested to be a senior prison officer. Have you even been interviewed for the position? Not every one could get in. There are usually hundreds of applications for each senior officer position. Anyway, the pay u get is dependent on your ability and rank. Doesn't mean that you enter as an ASP means you will be guaranteed higher or better pay 5 years down the road. If your performance is not up to par, dun be surprised that you are getting paid less than others who joined at a lower rank.

You cannot be a DD with just 5-10 yrs exp unless is scholar. SP is a GLC, not stat board.
