Many will claim that they got promoted.
Few want to admit otherwise.

the only way to circumvent this is to join non-MX schemes or stat boards. is this true? feel so demoralized that my annual increment is almost negligible.

was under the impression that an agency under a min is still considered working for min and they should be on MX scheme, but realised i am under a different scheme in MCCY (YE scheme), so does that mean i am under SB rather than min? new to all these so pardon if it's ignorant”
NYC is neither considered to be ministry nor stat board. They don’t follow MX scheme. They run on their own. Check with NYC HR to get the details

Curious to know as well. Got a similar verbal offer but never say the grade equivalent.

Statutory Board Salaries in Singapore: What Fresh Grads and Mid-Career Hires Should Know in 2026
https://www.salary.sg/2026/statutory...-know-in-2026/
If you have ever considered joining a statutory board in Singapore, chances are you’ve asked the same questions many others have asked on the Salary.sg forums over the years:
- How much do statutory boards actually pay?
- Are increments and bonuses good?
- Is the “scholar vs farmer” divide real?
- Can you still make decent money without being a scholar?
- And is it hard to move to the private sector later on?
