Permanent postings
Does anyone know of any agencies that offer permanent positions? I went through one interview which only offer contract jobs to new joiners and the HR says it's normal for govt agencies to offer contracts. I feel insecured leaving my permanent job to take on a contracts job which may not non convertible to perm but i am interested in joining civil service. Pls advise.

Sorry to hijack the thread. It has been about 3 weeks since my last interview.
The last i heard from HR a week ago was that they are doing the paperworks to get approval for the position. But i havent got any 'confirmation' i got the job. Should i call them again to get a confirmation?
I dont want to appear to be bugging them everyday
I applied for statboard

June holiday just ended la...all the bosses are usually on leave and not many people around to approve the paperwork...welcome to the public service of circumlocution...
If they say they gonna hire you but pending approval...chances are pretty high but like every kiasee public servant they need to have the official stamps of approval first before they tell u confirm plus chop...
Just be patient. Unless you really cannot wait and have other job offers lining up lor...

But in the phonecall the HR didnt not tell me exactly if i was seclected or not. Only told me need to do the paperwork for approval before they can send the formal offer. It was quite unclear; im not sure whether i made it or not...

Hello, I resigned from stat bd A (as a perm staff) to join stat bd b (as contract staff). Can i ask if i stand a better chance to be reappointed back to stat bd A under open market recruitment, considering that I was an ex perm staff. Thanks
