The HR in stat board only mentioned this process can take any time from 1 month to 3 months. Some cases even longer, and she had encountered before cases where the SB had to drop selected candidate if approval takes too long.
Thus, she can't provide an official offer letter until approval is received.
The last information which I had provided was my immediate family personal details.
The position I am hired for is a HOD of financial management.
Sorry, I did not know the acronym CRO.

if it's hiring senior position say AD/DD/Snr DD etc, still can make some sense if they wan more time to deliberate whether to hire the person
but if its for junior position, to go 1 month or even longer to the hiring board to make a decision is just taking too long to decide unless they deliberate until hiring freeze come then siao liao lor

Now still less than a month. But since I already received verbal offer, I am shocked to know chosen candidate still might be dropped if approval from other external agencies take too long. Thus, I want to check if anyone encounter similar situations like me.

Ohhh... Seems fair enough if they are checking this for the position I'm being hired. As it's in finance dept.
Any idea how long such checks will take?

I hope it won't happen to me or anyone else. 🤞
All the process from sending resume to going interviews, etc is already so tough. I can't imagine getting verbal offer then being dropped. 😓
