Shortlisted doesn't really mean anything. Each agencies have their own versions or meanings to the different statuses (it is quite inconsistent). I have applications, 4 or 5 can't remember, which had shortlisted statuses but they didnt call or email, before it changed to unsuccessful. Then i had in process statuses which i received calls. But i do see a pattern of usually ministries like msf, mccy that shortlist but dont call before becoming unsuccessful

Agreed. So different agencies have different meaning for the statuses. It can be "in process" applications for some of mine and the HR contacted for first round of interview.

My application were process multiple times, but only twice that it get shifted to short listed.

Even then, I still have to compete with 2-3 other candidates for the final selection.

Does the final offer come before or after medical checkup?

Gotten my G50 cleared after 3months (13weeks to be exact). Those who are still awaiting, don't be disheartened although I agree the whole period of waiting for the clearance really sucks.

Just completed my Medical yesterday and HR says it will take around 3days for them to get the medical report and then they will proceed with the job offer contract which likely will take another 2 days. Looking at early next week for the offer to come!!

Rule of thumb is to only apply when you are not desperate for job.

The process take along time and it will get delayed during public holiday, Covid also contribute to the additional time they need to get things done.

What are the changes if you reapply for a job that you previously were not shortlisted? 2 years ago applied for this role and didnt get in after 1st round of interview.

Recently this job posting resurfaced at c@g, thinking should i try again? Hopefully the HR person has changed and wont recognise....
