lta not collecting fares while buses run as usual, budget deficit at all time high with record low revenues, what do you think.

Yes, the sequence is right according to my previous offer at a Ministry but I think signing of contract occur 1st b4 medical checkup.

On the other hand, I was angry with the HR as they gave me hope but eventually tarnished it. Most likely I am the 2nd choice as the reference check came 3 weeks late & when I try to probe further, they told me will keep me in contact. Till now, the status in c@g is still "in process" & this really reflect how unprofessional they are.

been applying for jobs on c@g since jan, had 3 interviews with different min/SB so far:

SB 1: applied 31st jan, first email from hr on 13th feb asking to do an online video interview and online written assessment. heard back from hr on 24th feb to schedule F2F interview, plus complete G50 form and personality test. F2F interview on 4th mar, followed by peer chat. didnt hear back from hr since, but was deemed 'unsuccessful' on c@g on 13th mar.

Min 1: applied 23rd feb, first call from hr on 17th mar to schedule F2F interview and written assessment. went for F2F interview as well as written assessment on 23rd mar. didnt hear back since, c@g still says 'shortlisted'.

SB 2: applied 6th march, first call from hr on 23rd mar (immediately after i stepped out of my Min 1 interview lol). went for F2F interview (including presentation) and written assessment on 31st mar. immediately after interview, hr called to say that they would like to proceed with reference check. hr called to offer on 9th apr, am projected to start end of this month. c@g still says 'in process'.

apparently one of the hr personnel told me its business as usual despite covid19 because public sector jobs are all deemed as essential services so there shouldnt be any delays. but i guess it really boils down to how urgently they need that position filled.

Did you get the first email or call from HR before the application closing date?

I passed a written test and was invited for f2f interview with msf on 12 mar and have not heard back at all. does it means no hope? will they send me a rejection email or just keep me hanging. this is my first time so i have no idea. the status on career@gov is shortlisted but idk if that was before or after the interview :/ i have no idea if they done reference check bc i put my previous intern sup and its abit awkward to ask. ltr they nvr then i paiseh sia. i didnt email the hr cos i thought they will be bz with the situation now and its too late now ah almost one month passed...

maybe delayed process cos of circuit breaker. Some of my gov friends have to wfh too

No need to paiseh and just email them to ask. I'm starting next week in a stats board but my status on career@gov is still shortlisted

Hi! i posted this. just wanted to add that i dont dare to email as i also passed a written assignment at another stat board and went through interview then around 4 weeks i emailed hr to ask and they rejected me then. im scared that i am a second choice candidate and emailing them only pushes them to reject me immediately. if im the second choice, will emailing them make them reject me immediately while waiting means i still stand a chance?
