hmm is that the case? previously, he told me had some influence over the panel's decision but i'm starting to think your conjecture might be right since he wasn't part of the panel like what he told me. and for that, i did not perform well during the final interview...
still going to drop him a email and see how it goes...

nope. but some cs shortlist applicants only after the closing period for the position. i was once called up for interview 4 weeks after the closing date.

No news for 2 weeks after interview with sb, am i still under consideration? i emailed hr but no reply. what should i do??

usually if hr never reply, not really good news based on my experience in applying gov jobs

I think generally gov jobs take quite long to process. For example I applied moe 2 years back, the whole process took 5 months
