I see, so you are an equipment shift engineer then. Working hour is from 8.30-9, AM or PM depends on whether you are day or night shift. Yes you are right in the sense we usually do not fix the shift at the start of hiring, but only reveal when you come onboard just to ensure minimal changes to the situation. I'll advise you to speak to your supervisor on that. He should be able to tell you what shift he intends to put you into.
