not too sure about how competitive it is, half my cohort (in my course) went directly to micron with a mass hire process. but yes among engineering it is not bad. but rly cant compare to tech.
btw micron got budget for courses and certifications like AWS etc?

Ya are u from mech eng ?
Half of my cohort in mech went micron too, because of the 5k start pay.

Micron not competitive at all lah. Also not considered prestigious or anything. Recently they launched a mass hiring exercise and offered 5k to fresh grads, who obviously lapped it up.

May i ask anyone working as a technician or perhaps Equipment Technician, may i ask what salary are you guys roughly getting for a month(Basepay) as a diploma holder?

if you hate looking at circuits, dont go this route. Once you enter, they expect you to know how to read circuits well. Many drawings you never see before in your school life ever. Many says long hours but pay is so-so. If you got no other choice such as need to pay back loans , house utilities etc, then go ahead. Else, faster go other route before you get old.
