Colleagues who are following this thread either (i) don't take OP's claim seriously, or (ii) are sufficiently irritated to reply and clarify. Since you are attempting to defend OP's claim, I can only conclude you're not in the service... so why are you on this forum...?

You are being so defensive just because you refuse to believe that a good amount of staff in service can reach such figures if not by mid-30s then by their 40s.

Ah yes, when geo3 and 4 are working beyond school hours, it's because they are overworked despite being being very capable individuals who are working miracles.
But when SEO1 and 2 are working on weekends, it's because they don't have foresight, poor planners and don't know how to plan properly. And yet, people here get oh so upset when the hypocrisy gets pointed out. Sure we get paid more but that doesn't mean that we're not just as overworked, perhaps even more so.

Nah not true. In fact if you look at the salary table, none of the data points are drawing 10k base yet, despite holding appointments such as SH and HOD and having 15 years of service. It takes very long to reach 10k base if you are not a special high flyer.
Normal teachers max out at GEO5 or GEO5A, which have salary caps below 9k. Since normal teachers make up the bulk of the education service, most teachers will not be able to draw 10k base under today's (or any previous) salary scales.

These are the data teachers here have provided. I think it has been very generous of them to share their own information.
If you want to continue being clueless and misinformed, please stop coming here and commenting retarded stuff. Stop spreading misinformation too.
Perhaps if you're really so adamant yet curious, go and ask the Minister directly?

Its not about validating. It's about people who are convinced that geo3 and 4 do all the work while people in the higher ranks just shake leg and collect money every month. People need to understand that overwork is a systemic issue and not your SH/HOD dumping their work on you.

You guys were literally given 2.5 days off from work for National Day but decide to come here and argue about workload. 😒

Day off your head. It is still a working day, although the tempo is a bit reduced because students are at home. Marking, exam paper setting, T&L prep, MOE HQ work still continues.
