It's technically the cap for VPs. I've only seen it happening near retirement for career VPs, though.

Same case here.. I hit the max of GEO4 last year after pathetic merit increment of 70 over dollars. This year would have been my 10th year at GEO4. Wondering if there is a chance of progression to GEO5. Same like you, Cs all the way. No adverse grade before.

My sincere advice is for you to change school and widen your perspectives. Not all schools are created equal. Some schools may have projects/initiatives that enable you to showcase KRAs in GEO5, facilitating your promotion. Also, have faith that you can bring what you have learned in the current school to the next one and refine the skills. Plus, your current management may have typecast you in a certain way. No harm getting out of your comfort zone to explore a new ground.

If you are a career HOT in 40s at GEO5 and SL/RO ask if you're interested in KP role, should I take it up?
