Will there be any pay increase when you are appointed as KP in the ST track?

Yes, but that’s not an increase but rather responsibility allowance.
If you are geo4 doing ST, one year is 3000 more. Geo 5 is I think 1300.
However, being an ST at geo4 or geo5, your PB is likely to be B. If you are a ST at SEO1, your PB is C.
Annually, the amount is (almost) the same (but being seo1 is slightly higher due to mid and year end bonus). So if you consider that as an increment, then ok, pay will increase.

Why are there cases of HOD/subject head/senior teacher being demoted to become normal teacher? Is it because they got bad performance grades?

Cos some are seriously cmi and only made the climb through luck/connections/perceptions.
When new p comes in, they were found out. Some were forced to step down to make room for renewal.

From what I observe, this still seems quite rare. Is it possible for normal teachers to provide feedback to SLs to invoke such changes?

One teacher maybe cannot. But if a whole dept stands up against the KP, higher chance. In Chinese there’s saying ‘官官相护’ (officials cover up for each other). U complain against KP, it could be an isolated incident, but KP say u cmi, it’s a fact/truth.
Some KPs are up there because no one wants to do the job. Have u heard of schools where they make BT do covering hod work? There are such cases because in some schools, the up there is so **** that no teachers want to step up and they had no choice but to put a BT there.

One or two teachers may be not, but a whole dept complain may be will have some effect. There’s a Chinese saying 官官相护 (officials cover each other). Unless it’s very obvious the KP cmi, most SLs won care because of the extra time and effort needed to document things and talk to the KP.

I just got a letter saying I'm receiving a 10-year long service award. $600 to my June salary.
